Holiday Gift Guide All in One Place! Thoughtful Gifts are a MUST!
After reading my last blog, you’re fully aware I was laid off in October. Perfect timing; just before the holidays! (Says no one ever! LOL!). Anyway, since Christmas is my favorite holiday, I’m still determined to get my loved ones a gift they’ll cherish. Or, at least, remember until June!
I’m overwhelmingly challenged when it comes to buying gifts! I often ask people what they want, yet I end up getting them a gift card and calling it a day. Consequently, buying gift cards every year gets a little mundane, so I thought I would compose a little holiday gift guide to help myself and my readers out!
Maintaining Faith Amid Job Loss
Early October 2017 I lost my job. October 2nd to be exact.
BUT…
Tupelo Honey
Texas just got a little bit sweeter! Sweet as honey, to be exact!
Me vs. Consistency
Consistency: steadfast adherence to the same principles, course, form, agreement, harmony or compatibility.
Moment of truth:
Being consistent is by far one of my most challenging struggles! I’ve gone through moments where I’ve made up my mind to accomplish all the goals that I’ve written down in my journal or placed in my phone. Whether it’s the goal that I set a week ago, a couple of months ago, or a few years ago, I get in a zone and I’m on track to hit the mark!
My Results! (My unexpected trip to the fertility center)
The waiting game is tough, but a week has passed, results are in and I was back in the office with my husband anxiously waiting to hear if everything was ok in there! (literally).
I was greeted by Dr. Dara Havemann, who was just as excited as I was to hear my results, but first dived in a little bit more in depth about why AMH testing is a great starting point, the AMH scaling point that I should currently be in, and how often I should have my levels checked. It was very interesting to say the least. The human body has so many contributing factors and I was grateful that she had time to discuss and even draw pictures for me to get a better understanding.
I’m taking a fertility test!
Fertility: The ability to produce offspring. Power of reproduction.
You might be wondering, Kim what the heck are you doing at the fertility center! You’re too young!
Well. Since I’ve been married for 3 years, coming up 4 years in October, I can not tell you the number of times, I have been asked the following questions:
Missed Opportunities
Have you ever thought about what would’ve, should’ve, could’ve happened had you made a different choice or agreed to an opportunity?
Ugh! I know! Thinking about the what-ifs will literally drive you insane in the membrane! I should have…?
Why didn’t I…?
Becoming You
Have you asked yourself, “Who Am I? What the heck is my purpose? How am I unique? What am I supposed to be doing?” If so, you’re not alone, I’ve asked myself thousands of times, and I finally have an answer. But before I give you my spew of learning who I am, I want you to take a moment and think about who you are.
If you find yourself struggling with this question, no fear! I’m here to help you!
Stay in Your Lane
Be yourself today. Compete with not another soul. It’s hard to stay in your lane when you’re looking everywhere else but forward. -Unknown
Recently, I heard a great message from Bishop Brady of The Potters House North Dallas: “Tied to the Post.” The entire message was amazing, but one thing struck me. Bishop Brady said, “Growth, promotions, lessons, and destiny only come when you are in your rightful position.”
After hearing his message, I told myself, “Stay in your lane, Kimberly!”
Is this easy for you?
Do you struggle in this area?
