How I gained my confidence back and lost 15 pounds!
Confidence: a feeling of self-assurance arising from one’s appreciation of one’s own abilities or qualities.
Why does weight or a scale number seem to weigh down so much on our confidence? Is it because we have been so brainwashed that in order to look, feel, or be beautiful one must be a size 6; with long, straight hair; own a $400 watch; and a foreign, designer handbag to match? Better yet, one must ONLY eat lettuce, detox weekly, wear body shapers, and keep up with diet trends to be beautiful and sexy?

Things I grade restaurants on: service, food quality, cleanliness, restrooms, and the overall vibe.
After hearing so much about this place, my husband and I decided to give it a shot one Sunday afternoon. Ida Claire had me at, “Hello!” Especially, when I saw the vintage airstream trailer and outside garden. #Goals

Purposefully Smiling
Smile: To regard with favor; to have a pleasant or agreeable appearance or aspect. To assume a facial expression indicating pleasure, favor or amusement.
For years I have always struggled with finding my purpose.
God what do you want me to do? How can I make an impact? How can I change lives?
Seemingly, “I” always heard utter silence.
Maybe “I” wasn’t listening hard enough. Maybe “I” didn’t meditate long enough.
Possibly, He was speaking but not saying what “I” wanted to hear.
I once heard a wise man say, “God speaks. God is always speaking, but remember, you must be receptive to his voice and always willing to listen.”
As you can tell from my long post, I enjoy talking! There is a good reason for this: It always leads to a smile.
Becoming Transparent- How this can change your entire life!
Transparent: allowing light to pass through so that objects behind can be distinctly seen. easy to perceive or detect. having thoughts, feelings, or motives that are easily perceived.
I’ve grown soooo much in this area, and I hope that what I share will be able to help you grow.
Being transparent has transformed my life in so many ways. It has helped me accept who I am, who God made me, and who I can become. This is a daily choice I choose to make and implement in my life. It’s not always easy, but I strive to be real with myself in all things. Shakespeare said it best, “To thine own self be true.”
Let’s jump head first into this thang!
Can you be found faithful?
I’ve always struggled with finding “my purpose.” I’ve always had a true passion for helping people, but I always found myself stuck at trying to find an “awesome” way to impact a massive amount of lives at one time and strategically plant seeds of hope in them. I would always pray: “God let me win the lottery (I promise I will give my tithes and offering)!” I told him that I wanted to build a building to not only give clothes, food and shelter, but a place where they are able to freshen up, get haircuts, trim their nails, and receive dental and eye care. I know we all have big dreams and goals that we want God to give us (like yesterday), but as I was having my quiet time a few weeks ago, I heard this small voice:
“Can you be found faithful?”
It hit me like a ton of bricks.
Dissatisfied
Dissatisfied. Displeased. Discontent. Disgruntled.
Simply failing to provide something expected or desired.
Me 2013-2015:
BOOM!
It seemed I was unsatisfied with everything that was occurring in my life: I was at my heaviest weight, the goals I set for myself at the beginning of the year were written down, but not accomplished, my to-do list never got done, and I had not taken any action towards the betterment of myself. I had just married my best friend, but I wasn’t mastering all the tasks that come along with that title. Life just kept going, going, going… “
