Hey Friends!
I’ve been on vacation for the past week and I had the best time! I absolutely love traveling! I also enjoy experiencing new things, eating good food and just relaxing. Vacation always give me an opportunity to clear my mind, gain clarity in all areas of my life and down time to enjoy myself and my husband.
I absolutely adore California, so we headed to San Francisco and then to Napa to enjoy all things nature, beaches and of course wine. head to my instagram highlights entitled “Partners” and “Bottle Rock” to see all things Cali.
But before I tell you about trip, I want to quickly chat about my Top 5 travel essentials that I must have when I head out-of-town and how you can get your hands on them!
1. Picture Keeper Connect
The Picture Keeper Connect is a small device that allows you to back-up all your pictures, videos and even phone contacts that are stored on your smart phone. I saw this device at the Dallas Travel Adventure Show and knew I had to have it for my trip to San Francisco. I’ve only had my phone since February and I already have 5,000 + pictures, so as you can tell, I love taking pictures and it’s part of my job but my biggest hassle is not having enough storage in my phone. The picture keeper connect solves that problem for me because I can continue to take thousands of pictures and simply transfer them from my phone to my picture keeper without having to worry about the dreaded “storage is full” message on my phone.
The picture keeper connect is so simple to use in 3 easy steps:
- plug the picture keeper into your phone
- click start back up
- boom! your pictures are protected.
Quick Tip: if you already have your pictures sorted in albums in your phone, it will also be sorted in your picture keeper as well. The best part? no internet is required to use your device. You can obtain this device in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. I had the 16GB for the trip, and I will say that it did take quite some time to download everything, so I would definitely recommend getting a higher Gigabyte if you have more than 1,000 or so pictures. Not worrying about losing all your previous memories captured when traveling is a plus! Great News! I have a discount code so that your able to purchase your very own picture keeper connect. Head to picturekeeper.com and use discount code: foodfaithfreedom18 for 40% off your purchase.
2. ZizzyBee Bags (Multi-use Bags)
I initially fell in love with ZizzyBee bags after I received one in a swag bag that was hosted by some of my favorite bloggers at CompCamp. I found myself using it for everything as it was easy to carry, washable, and transparent. I’ve personally used this as a shower bag to carry my essentials and change of clothes for the gym, make-up bag and even to keep my purse clutter #receipts. Packing for my trip to San Francisco was so easy with ZizzyBee Bags. If you’re a over-packer like me, ZizzyBee bags come in handy because it will make you feel as if you didn’t pack that much! I used two large bags to carry majority of my outfits for the week! Yup! I typically roll all my clothes so I was shocked that I could fit so much in the 12” x 12” bags including my delicates as well.
I used the small bag 9” x 9” for all my skin care items, make-up, toothbrush/toothpaste and jewelry. When returning, since the bags are also multi-use, breathable and washable I in turned used these as my dirty laundry bag. Can we also just talk about the bold accent colors that you can choose from and the handle that makes it all worth it? If you like to stay organized when traveling and returning home as well as stay stylish this is for you! head to ZizzyBee and get your very own with free shipping over $20.
3. Thread Tank T-Shirts
When traveling I like to have a few statement pieces in the form of t-shirts because I want to be cute as well as comfortable! Am I the only one?! With over 10 collections of stories to wear, Thread tank helps others relive past moments and create beautiful memories and I knew that I would create these moments in California. Thread Tank helped me with this by allowing me to pick two t-shirts that explained why I shouldn’t be judged in California and my entire personality that caught people’s attention and made them laughed.
Thread Tank literally threw my entire personality on a shirt and I knew I had to grab it!
I received so many compliments on the “Sorta Sweet Sorta Savage” t-shirt along with a few laughs which I thought was hilarious. I’m so glad that Thread Tank understands me! This shirt simply means that I’m sweet as honey, but I don’t play when it comes to my husband, family or my friends.
The next shirt I picked “Wine made me do it” was perfect for our wine adventure in Napa. I also received a ton of compliments on this shirt as I experienced the back bar experience for a winery that I will tell you more about later. I must say that each shirt was super comfortable to wear, perfect fit for your actual size when ordering and can easily be dressed up or down from jeans, shorts or jewelry.
Head to www.threadtank.com and grab your very own story to wear and create memories with free shipping with orders over $45.
4. Expression Bracelets (The Jewelry Storyteller)
I throughly enjoy learning the story behind each business and in particular the “why” behind it. Expression Bracelets started as a direct result of an autism walk to honor owner, Saratta Murphy’s niece. It has since grown to a hand stamped, laser engraved jewelry line which tells your individual story and also brings awareness to subjects that are near and dear to your heart. For my trip to San Francisco I wanted to tell the story of who I am and those close to me, so the StoryTeller Charms Bangle was the perfect option. I picked 6 charms that included my favorite bible scripture (Matthew 6:33), a mini cross, a green peridot dangle because it’s my husbands favorite color and a laser engraved charm that said LIVE. I always tell people to live their best life so I had to get this one. You can start creating your very own StoryTeller charm bangle with my unique discount code kim20%OFF here http://www.expressionsbracelets.com
I also chose two dainty skinny bangles entitled “she is fierce” and “fearless” which are also stackable and fit perfectly on my wrist. My wrists are very small and its often hard to find bracelets that fit and won’t slide off, but as you can see, it wasn’t going anywhere. Everyday I wore these bracelets I felt motivated and encouraged to fight for my “why” and what’s important to me and my family. Two charms that were added to the dainty skinny bangle were absolutely perfect! Take chances and be you bravely. My hearts echo! It’s something about having these bracelets on your wrist that make you feel like you can conquer the world! Guess what! I want you feel like you can conquer the world as well. 5. Airlounj
I also saw this neat item at the Dallas Travel Adventure show and while this is not sponsored, as soon as I saw how easy it was to “air” up, I knew I wanted to take it on my trip to San Francisco for all the activities that my husband and I would be indulging in. Airlounj is a air-filled lounge chair that doesn’t require any pumps or any other accessories to inflate. How does it inflate you ask? with God’s Air! That’s it! in a few seconds of scooping air into two channels, you are able to relax anywhere, anytime!
