Smile: To regard with favor; to have a pleasant or agreeable appearance or aspect. To assume a facial expression indicating pleasure, favor or amusement.
For years I have always struggled with finding my purpose.
God what do you want me to do? How can I make an impact? How can I change lives?
Seemingly, “I” always heard utter silence.
Maybe “I” wasn’t listening hard enough. Maybe “I” didn’t meditate long enough.
Possibly, He was speaking but not saying what “I” wanted to hear.
I once heard a wise man say, “God speaks. God is always speaking, but remember, you must be receptive to his voice and always willing to listen.”
As you can tell from my long post, I enjoy talking! There is a good reason for this: It always leads to a smile.
Human flaws make you automatically assume the narrative of others. Yet, you never know what others are going through unless you take the time to strike up a conversation and tune into their story. It’s those souls I especially love talking to. I want to talk to the person who isn’t smiling, who doesn’t say thank you to unexpected politeness, or the homeless person we doubtfully think is in need. I want to talk to the hopeless.
Why you might ask?
Is that not exactly what Jesus did?
Listening, in itself, is its own ministry. It allows you to remain still, reflect upon the blessings He has allowed, thus minimizing complaints. My heart’s desire is to plant small seeds of hope to encourage, uplift, and lend a smile to those I encounter.
I realized my purpose in life is to smile.
I know, sounds crazy right? Like, Kim, is that all?
I don’t know, but for now I will do as told. SMILE!
For years, I’ve heard people say:
“Kim you have a beautiful smile!”
“You are always smiling!”
“Your smile is contagious!”
“I never see you without a smile on your face!”
I never thought anything of it until I realized I can, in fact, impact and change lives by simply smiling. I can change someone’s perspective, attitude, or their own facial expression! My facial muscle flex is so incredibly powerful and contagious!

God gave me this smile for a reason (and my orthodontist enhanced it) to let you know God’s amazing grace is still available.
You are forgiven.
You can be healed and set free.
You are not forgotten.
A smile, mine and yours, is unbiased and can reach the unreachable. I’m a willing vessel and will walk in my purpose.
Will you join me?
